Here's what I'm thinking right now. This screws into the console. Lid screws to the back of it: The bin part drops in. It'll be the same color so it looks like a single piece. I could use magnets to hold it down. Or some kind of press or squeeze fastener would be trick: Then I'd just have to figure out some storage for underneath. Might draft print it to see how it works.
