I very much wanted to get some of these, but the thought of someone slashing my top and just ripping these off the dash in less than 30 seconds gives me nightmares. hahaha Like @chili_pepper mentioned, those 5.25 pods that tuck into the original 4x6 location does REALLY make an improvement. Granted ... not as much as them directly aimed at your face with a versa-pod would. I modified Chase's original designs just a smidge for my purposes, but overall it's a good setup. And also, I saw a modified version of this on Thingiverse that can handle a 6.5" (with some dremel work) ... but that seemed like a little too much work for me, but I admire this guy's ingenuity. Some have messed around with mounting just some tweeters on the dash in a component system. I think the files are somewhere on the running list of 3D printed parts, and I remember reading that's made a difference for some.
